EFNL Junior Best & Fairest Presentation Night 2025

On Monday, 2nd September, the EFNL hosted the Junior Best & Fairest Presentation Night.

These awards are voted on by umpires at the end of each game throughout the season, with votes counted and verified by the EFNL. The top three players in each age group are then invited to this prestigious event.

This year, the Rowville Knights proudly had five players nominated:

  • Under 12s Boys – Nathaniel Pitruzzello

  • Under 12s Girls – Amira Zeini

  • Under 14s Boys – Noah Kavanagh

  • Under 14s Girls – Ashlee McMahon

  • Under 17.5s – Kai Gibbons

In addition, the EFNL presented the inaugural “Junior Coach of the Year” award, where our very own Terry Dingeldei (Under 9s Coach) was recognised as a nominee.

Life Members

The Rowville Knights Community Football Club grants life memberships to any player who has played 150 games.

The club may award one honorary life membership. It is for a member who has served the club with distinction for eight or more consecutive years. They could be a player, volunteer, coach, administrator, or fundraiser.

Outstanding Club Person Award

Each year, the club recognises a member who exemplifies true sportsmanship and dedication to our community with the Outstanding “Good Sports” Club Person Award.

The recipient is selected by the committee for consistently demonstrating fair play, support for teammates, and a positive attitude both on and off the field.

Outstanding Player Achievement Award

Each year, the Rowville Knights present the Outstanding Player Achievement Award – recognising a player who has demonstrated excellence in football.

This honour is often awarded to a player who has achieved selection in representative teams or reached significant milestones in their playing career.

The recipient is chosen by a vote of the committee, making this one of the club’s most prestigious player awards.

DSG Management Shield for Leadership

Each year, the Rowville Knights present the DSG Management Shield – an award recognising outstanding leadership and commitment to our club.

This honour is given to the member who has made the most significant contribution in a leadership role throughout the season, with the recipient chosen by a vote of the committee.

The award holds special meaning in our club’s history. In November 1996, Douglas and Suzanne Geekie generously donated the original shield, and in their honour, the award was named the DSG Award.

The John Boccari Volunteer Award

The John Boccari Volunteer Award honours the incredible dedication and community spirit of one of our most committed club members, John “Bocca” Boccari.

Named in his honour, this award recognises a volunteer who goes above and beyond for the Rowville Knights. Someone who gives their time, energy and passion to make our club a better place for everyone.

John’s tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to helping out wherever needed set the benchmark for what true club spirit looks like.

This award celebrates those who embody that same spirit of generosity, teamwork and dedication.
