Rowville Knights Proudly Sign the Women & Girls Charter

The Rowville Knights are proud to announce that our club is now an official signatory of the Women and Girls Charter — a shared commitment across the Eastern Football Netball League (EFNL) to support, empower and champion women and girls in Australian Rules Football.

The Women and Girls Charter recognises that female participation is vital to the growth and future of our game. By signing the charter, the Rowville Knights are pledging to continue creating an inclusive, respectful and supportive environment where women and girls can play, coach, umpire, volunteer and lead with confidence.

At the Knights, we’ve seen firsthand how powerful football can be in building connection, teamwork and self-belief. Over the years, our girls’ program has continued to grow, with more players, coaches and volunteers joining our community each season. Becoming a charter signatory is the next step in strengthening that foundation and ensuring every player — no matter their age or experience — feels welcome and valued.

Club President Paul Hogan said the Knights are proud to stand alongside other EFNL clubs in supporting the initiative.

“This is an important step for our club. We want every girl and woman who walks through our doors to know that football is a place for them — to play, to grow and to lead.”

As a signatory, the Rowville Knights will continue to uphold the values of equality, respect and opportunity, working to inspire the next generation of female footballers and leaders.

Together, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive future for our club — and for the game we love.
